The cave is visited on foot (about an hour) with a guide along a path following the underground river.
Schools: The cave visit allows for the exploration of natural science and prehistory concepts. There is the possibility of an animation retracing the history of the earth (discovery of fossils) and the first humans (contact with the first tools, discovery of dolmens, first artworks) using authentic archaeological material. This also enables the discovery of the trades of archaeology and paleontology.
Associative groups, clubs: The cave allows for meetings of large groups (up to 35 people or more per visit if needed, and visits can follow each other) and has a large monitored parking area capable of hosting motorcycles and classic cars safely. During the high season, the large picnic area around the site on the edge of the forest is particularly pleasant. A one-and-a-half-hour hike around the cave (easy difficulty) to discover prehistoric dolmens in Foissac complements the site visit.
Senior clubs and accessibility: The access well to the cave is a 78-step staircase (4 floors) to descend and climb. In the rest of the tour (400m to explore), the entire path consists of anti-slip concrete with ramps throughout the route and some short stairs from time to time. While the entrance steps can sometimes be intimidating, the rest of the visit is done at a calm pace that generally does not pose any difficulties. For those who do not wish to go down into the cave, the museum tour is offered, including a film recounting the visit. A large sunlit terrace also allows for waiting with a hot or cold drink.
