In Doué-la-Fontaine, capital of the rose, Land of Roses invites you to a sensorial immersion at the heart of the most emblematic flower. In a unique troglodyte setting, the visit begins with a rose garden featuring over 3,000 roses and 80 varieties, a true festival of colors and scents.
You then enter the fascinating world of rose water distillation, where artisanal know-how is revealed live: petals are transformed before your eyes into floral waters and essential oils in traditional alembics. A rare, authentic, and enchanting experience.
The journey continues in a troglodyte house housing an unusual museum dedicated to roses: ancient objects, bottles, textiles, symbols of French living art. You also discover an agricultural ecomuseum with animals, bake ovens, vintage tools, and rock-cut cellars.
