About one and a half to two hours are necessary to discover the Museum's collections, which occupy slightly more than 950 m².
Guided and commented tours mainly focus on tracing the living conditions of railway men and Ambérieu from 1856 onwards, without neglecting the technical parts related to the profession.
During the tour, visitors are invited to follow the explanations provided in front of the main reconstructions (some of which are animated): the steam locomotive, lampisterie, electric machine, braking system, signal box, train station ticket office, dormitory and fireplace, as well as the medical cabinet ...
5 € per adult - free for child under 12 years accompanied 4 € per adult in groups of over 10 people. 40€ package for groups of 10 or fewer.
